How do you make your dolls?
I use a very old version of Flash - v6.0 to be exact. I either
trace a bitmap base or draw my own base from scratch, then I draw
the clothing, coding each piece as I go so it doesn't all pile
up on me in the end. Then, I add the finishing details - the background,
the loadscreen, any special effects or secrets I feel like adding.
Then I usually upload it, forget to give credit to whomever's base
I used, then add the credit and re-upload!
Will you make a doll from [this show/book/anime]?
I might! I make my dolls because I really
enjoy drawing and creating, and it's not very often that I get
inspired from a television show or movie or whatever. I am however,
going to be making another Twilight based doll eventually, since
the last one did so well. So if you believe you have a really good
idea for a doll I should make, feel free to send
me an email and
let me know, but keep in mind I work slow and I may not be able
to!
Can you tell me how to make my own dolls?
I can give you a thumbnail sketch, but it's unlikely that I'll
be able to walk you through it at this point. Eventually, I'd like
to have tutorials on coding, shading and making prints in Flash,
but at this point in the future I am not working on anything like
that. So I might be able to answer a specific question, but I'm
afraid I can't teach you how from scratch.
When do you update?
In the past I updated extremely sporadically, but I promise in
the future to update at least once a month! *knock on wood*
Can you email me and let me know when you update?
Absolutely - in fact,
anytime you send me an email, I add you to my list, and you'll
get an message whenever I update the site! Not only that, but
you'll also get updates before anyone else - including special
access to dolls I haven't yet linked to the site!
